About Wendy
Your story deserves time, care, and understanding.
Wendy Hemenez · Licensed Mental Health Therapist & Owner
Hi, I’m Wendy.
I’m a licensed mental health therapist and the therapist behind Renewed Mind Mental Health Therapy. I specialize in working with trauma and also support adults facing a range of emotional and life challenges.
You may be coming to therapy because of something that happened years ago, something you’re facing right now, or a feeling you haven’t quite been able to name. Wherever you’re starting, I want to understand what life has been like for you.
How I approach our work
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your individual story.
We’ll spend time understanding what you’re experiencing and what you hope will change. Along the way, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. We’ll also work on practical skills you can use outside our sessions.
I’ll bring professional knowledge, thoughtful questions, and steady support. You’ll bring your experiences, perspective, and goals. Together, we’ll shape an approach that fits your needs.
Room for the whole person
The things that give your life meaning matter.
Your values, culture, relationships, beliefs, and sources of hope can all have a place in therapy. I welcome conversations about what sustains you, what you’re questioning, and what you want your life to reflect.
You can decide how much of that you want to explore. My role is to support you with respect and curiosity.
Why Renewed Mind?
The name Renewed Mind reflects the possibility of developing a different relationship with your thoughts, your experiences, and yourself.
Pain can shape what we expect from the world and what we believe we deserve. Therapy offers an opportunity to examine those beliefs with care, understand where they came from, and consider what may serve you better now.
My hope is that our work helps you find greater clarity, extend yourself more grace, and move toward a life that feels more connected to what matters to you.
Your next step can be a small one.
You don’t have to figure it all out before reaching out. Let’s begin with a conversation.
